09 SS/TC throttle stumble problem
About two weeks ago, I was driving down the interstate when I noticed my car was stumbling in 5th gear. Service ESC, Service Traction, Reduced Engine Power, and CEL all came on. I was able to turn car off then back on to allow normal driving to get back home.
I took it into the dealership and they tested that I had a bad battery and that was my cause of the problem. I put a new battery in and car was fine for a few weeks.
This past weekend, I'm driving down the interstate and my car is doing the same thing except worse. It stumbles under light throttle in any gear. All the same engine lights came on. The next day I drive around and the CEL goes off but car is still stumbling under light throttle. I had a friend (RoadconeTuning) use his HP Tuner to scan my car. It pulled 3 codes. I don't remember the codes exactly but one was Throttle Idle Position not learned, other was EVAP solenoid. I've already had my EVAP purge replaced several months ago. I've had the EVAP solenoid problem before and dealership did a smoke test and couldn't find anything wrong with it.
Also data logged my car and the only thing that was strange or odd was my cam dropped 6-7 degrees around 5,600 rpms. Everything else looked okay on the log. I'll have to get the log from him and post it.
Anybody have any idea to what could be causing this problem?

Plug gap, plugs, coils, injectors seals, injectors. In that order.
It is really hard to diagnose without the codes, but my bet is ignition or fuel-related in nature.
Sounds like a misfire/possible knock.

P2176 - Minimum Throttle Position Not Learned
P0496 EVAP
and one other code relating to throttle that I can't remember.
I'll have to get the DTC reading from my friend tonight.
Could it be a possible bad alternator?
I just found another thread saying it could be bad intake or exhaust solenoid.

Yeah I had to buy an EVAP purge solenoid last year (even under warranty) because my dealership couldn't re-create the trouble codes I was having and wouldn't replace it. I did the quick blow into it to test it and had a leak. Maybe the new one could've gone bad?
Also the stumble that I have will go away if I get on the throttle. It stumbles/fumbles only on light throttle.
Since the dealership agreed to run a diagnostic, I'm going to have to wait and see.

Dealership found out that I had a bad throttle body and bad EVAP canister. Even though I am over mileage on my warranty, they are going to replace both under warranty because I brought my car in for same problem while under warranty.

Hopefully the codes won't come back. I'm having this same problem codes were p2176, p0221,p0121started throwing codes and engine reduced power and service traction. It happend when I was coming back from the beach. It happened once going up there and like 3 times coming back such a pain.

If you don't mind me asking - what dealership did you take your car to?

Well, the reason I ask is I was wondering which dealership would be more "Modded" friendly as I called them (Bradshaw) and asked how much it would be for a simple flush and fill for coolant system and the quoted me $142.00 while Kevin Whitaker quoted me $80.00 for the same service.

Don't spend a ton on that service. There are instructions on here on how to do this.

Well CEL is on again. EVAP purge flow low code P0497. I took off the EVAP purge solenoid on the intake manifold and blew through it. No air leaked through. I'm going to look under the car and check the hoses on the EVAP canister that they replaced.

There have been several cases where the Evap purge is bad and you can't blow through it. Just helped a guy the other day. It was stock in the closed position and wouldn't vent when needed. Hence why he couldn't blow through it.
I'd say it's still either the evap purge selenoid on the manifold or the evap vent valve under the car.
