Stress Cracks and leaks on Transmission
Here are two pics I'm referring to. I discovered this today when I was rotating my tires.
Car is '05 2.2L base model with 29.5k miles on it.
Should I give up on it (new car), fixable... or am I paranoid? Other then this, the car runs smoothly.

The cracks are on the outter surface of the casting.I dont think you will have to worry about them.
THe leaking is your main axel seal and the dealer will call it weeping and not fix it .
But dont leave it until your out of warranty but demand it be repaired because it should not do that and over time get worse.

sweet...
This weeping is only on the driver side, passenger side is nice and clean. I poked around and that weeping is just a very thin layer of oil, I was seeing it as like massive. Those marks or 'casting flashing' I've never seen like that before. I actually had to Google that
