Just wondering before I ordered em.

Should be fine. Just wont last as long. Poly isnt as durable against the elements. Why not get replacement bushings from ottp

I have the replacement bushings, I noticed a lot of people recommending the poly bushings over the other ones. Not specifically our platform, but just in general.

If you drive it year round i wouldnt use them. Salt tears that shit up

I don't drive it year round, had the car a year and haven't even put a thousand miles on it.
And I live in the south, so no snow for me.

Ill just stick to what I have. Thanks man.

How long before the poly fails?

Do not use a poly bushing...

Contact Powell or OTTP (who's ever you purchased), for a correct replacement bushing.

If you have OTTP's, the replacement bushing is a simple Moog or Dorman suspension bushing.

I have the OTTP mount, I didn't know I could replace with a moog or dorman though. I bought them from OTTP.
Now to find someone with a press.

Rent a ball joint removal kit from advance auto or autozone.

I got one from harbor freight a while back, and it did work. Couldn't get them in.
Froze the bushings, and still nothing.
Thought about using a torch on the mount to weaken the metal a bit. But don't know how good of an idea that is.

Harbor freight... That's the issue right there. Do not use a torch

goaliemo Oct 30, 2015 12:26 AM

I figured that would be one of the issues.
Auto zone looked like it had a similar kit though.

I've used the rental from advance auto multiple times for control arm bushings and rotated mount bushings... Never had an issue.

Imma do that then. Thanks man
