seat removal...
OK, so i have the SS, but it's just got the plain jane fabric seats.... I ordered some racing seats which will have "universal brackets". I don't hold out much hope for these, though the dimensions match. anyway, my most urgent and major concern is that the seats I have now have that oh so retarded feature of the 80lb. = active airbag feature for the passenger. I don't want to simply disconnect this, since I don't think the airbag will work on that side of the vehicle again, I also don't know if disconnecting this will cause any other issues with the vehicle (I've been told it's a possibilty by a guy who installs stereos, so, who knows) anyone have any clue? Ever replace any of these? I'm gonna call the dealership, but so far my luck in dealing with them has turned out poorly. Please help!!

i guess in the 2.4 & 2.2 there is b/c in our dash there is a little display that shows you if the passanger airbag is on & if they are wearing there seatbelt... You wont mess anything up if you unplug it i promise... ive upluged the display in the dash 6million times, once for about 2weeks & it all still works. I would imagine there is a fail safe so if the sensor fails it automatically engages(just a guess tho)

sweet, yeah, the SS/SC doesn't have it, my friend was like wtf are you talking about? when I asked him lol. I will def. unplug it, but I'll hafta do some research and see if it goes on or off then. I'd imagine you're right about the failsafe and it automatically going to on. I'll maybe call the dealership? (might not be a great idea once a warranty issue comes into play... lol mabe I'll call a diff. dealership ) but thx! If anyone knows how the failsafe works let me know! Also, I guess I can get rid of that bar that tells me about the airbag and seatbelt. Maybe I can work something interesting into that spot.... hm....
