Stock Tires
Alright I have a 2007 Cobalt SS/SC im still on my stock rims and using the Pirelli P-Zero Rosso's... I rarely get on my car, I dont do burnouts cause of the tires being low-profile. I now currently have 30,000 miles on the car its a year and a 1/2 old but ive been through 8 tires (2 were due to road hazard *1 bubble* and *1 flat*), rotated every 5000-6000 miles... anyone else been having problems with the original tires?

i've only got 18000 miles on my car and mine are soon to be dispatched, i'm kind of rough on my car though. You don't have to get on it for them to wear quickly, if the roads are shitty around your area and if you corner hard they will wear faster.

I just rolled over 27000 on mine and I'm still on the factory installed rubber. The fronts are right on the wear bars, the rears still have a little left so this weekend I'll rotate them (this will only be the 2nd time) and go a few more thousand. Then time to order some KDW's.

I use Kumho SPT's 215/40/zr18 in the summer and Michelin X-Ice 215/45/r18 in the winter, so far both sets of tires are in good shape. Maybe it is the roads in you area?

My fronts were shot at 10K no burnouts and i'm not hard on it . I think road condition plays a big part . We have tar and chipped roads in my area and the surface feels like a cheese grater . I bet with smooth blacktop roads i would have gotten alot more out of them .

The stock tires are summer tires if I remember right, that means they are soft, wich also means that they wear quickly. Thats the sacrafice they make to give good grip.

yea the roads around me are actually quite bad, and the train tracks are no bargain either, I even slow down to a 10 mph roll over train tracks... usually get alot of annoyed people behind me. Im not sure what to get I might go for Pirelli's all season tires... at $133 a piece its better than the $230 I have been paying for the stock ones...
