Sway Bar Bushings and Clamps

I went in the parts department the other day just to get stock replacement stabilizer bushings and clamps since i'm getting a constant clunking and i can visually see movement in the stabilizer bar. I took one side while it was still all bolted and i could move it about a centimeter or two front to back.

So, I go to them and they tell me there are new part numbers for the bushing and the clamp, since it has been a troublesome part. I go in another 2 times to pick up parts and it seemed really hard for them to find and attain these parts. Finally i recieve the bushings and clamps and when i get both together it seems quite odd because they don't match.

This new bushing i got has a large ridge (pt# 15822993) on the top and seems like harder material, but the clamp that they gave me does not have a ridge (pt# 22722387), I don't think this is right. I would like anyone with knowledge to help me out please! Crate Engine Depot sells bushings and clamps with pt# 15822993 for the bushing but pt# 1038917 (<-different) for the clamp.

My original bushings don't have ridges and the clamps don't either, they actually look the the brand new clamps that the guy gave me. I hate to make a thread over this, but I am getting royally pissed and need opinions on what the new parts are supposed to look like. Are the newer part number bushings w/ ridges or without?

Sometimes people make mistakes. You may have the wrong part indeed. i think there is a website called gmpartsdirect.com they very well may have the info you are looking for. If the guy did make a mistake, just speak with management and see if they will give like 10% off or seomthing because you had to make several trips.

doesn't CED have these listed on their site under suspension

yeah, i checked CED to see what the parts look like before i fully put them on, in my first post i compared the part numbers and the bushing number actually matched. I would have bought them from, but i thought with new part numbers from the dealer they might have just changed and with shipping it wasn't going to be much of a difference in price
