suspension and brake problems

I just bought a used cobalt ss/sc '05. I've noticed that my brakes make high pitched squeak noise as i just tap on them. It goes away once i put more pressure. I looked at the rotors and they have like a rusted look to them almost. I'll take a pic and post. Also, my rear suspension makes a squeaking noise when i drive over something, especially a speed bump. Now, i dont mean speeding over a speed bump i mean goin just about 5-10 miles an hour. Does anyone have any info or maybe a how to on replacing rotors and pads. Please help?

If the brake noise is like mine, were it sounds kinda like the brake squealers from the brakes being worn, its normal for these pads when light pressure is applied, and the rotors have a rusted look to them because they have rust on them.. that is normal for our rotors also.

The rear suspension squeak is the rear axle bushings, take it in to your local dealer, there is a service bulletin for this and as long as your warranty hasn't been denied for any reason it should be fixed. Bulletin # 3641A

thanks for the info, the dealers said my brakes were cool and my suspension checked out ok. I was a little nervous since mine is used because who knows what the guy before me did to this car
