Hey guys, I have had my cobalt since new and I am now having a popping noise coming from the transmission.

It happens when I shift into 2nd (Pop), Let the clutch out (Pop), press the clutch in (Pop), and shift into 3rd (Pop). It also makes a noise when I am coasting and suddenly press the gas (Pop). I know it is not the CV axel because I have already replaced it trying to figure it out. It acts like happens when there is a transfer or power within the transmission.

It hasn’t kept me stranded yet, but I would like to have and idea on what I’m getting into.

Any ideas?

Well just because you replace something doesn't mean it won't fail or was faulty. It would help to see a video of the sound tho

You could inspect the transmission mounts and the engine mount, See if the rubber is crack or something?

I'd also check your motor and transmission mounts as well
