car dies when AC is used
i cant figure out why my car dies when i turn my AC to 3 or 4. everytime the car starts sputtering and dies and i got to leave it off for about a couple minutes then start it to be normal...if i start it right away it dies again..this is so weird..it sucks not having AC in tucson arizona summer......any imput

The only thing i can think of is that the throttle body is gummed up. try cleaning it, then unhook the battery for 5 minutes to reset the throttle body position then see what happens

Because the a/c puts a load on the engine, so the ecm opens the throttle body to raise the rpms to compensate for that load and if the throttle body is gummed up then there is less space between the throttle plate and the body allowing less are then desired through causing it is drop in idle or die. Like i said it is the only thing i could think of that i have seen before.

just do what i did.. put a oil breather on it.. it was competely worth it.. never have the clean the TB again. lol it was so bad on mine the dealer actually replaced it under warrenty.. stupid car pukes so much oil
