BMW M3 Detail
BMW M3 Detail
Got an unexpected call from one of my close friends, he was going to stop by to pick up a few pads, one thing led to another and I ended doing the detail for him, The car is a 1995 M3 but is not your average M3 he has spend over $80,000 on it, the motor is fully build and will produce 590rwhp, single turbo with everything you can imagine that you can purchase for it, the paint is original, the car was in storage for 3 years and the last 6 months the car was parked on the driveway, he had the urge to put the car back on the road so a detail was call for it, the right front fender will tell us the condition of the car, very poor, after I evaluated the condition I went to work, I did the following steps;
Wash and at the same time using our oxidation block ( this blowed his mind away )
wheels were clean with our wheel cleaner
Dry
Taped the needed areas
Our heavy compound with orange pad and the porter cable speed set at 4 to start end at 6
Our Swirl Remover with orange pad and the porter cable speed set at 6, one pass the switch to a white pad
Pre Wax by hand
Wax by hand
Total time 4 hrs
For larger picture click on them
Wash

Just after wash and oxidation block

Condition of paint on left front fender

Things that make you go Humm

I was eager to do the engine bay but when I open it, it was a complete mess, I estimate that it will take 4-6 hours to detail it, even after that there's no much to see other than the custom made fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator, on BMW's the room is very limited so the turbo has to be place under, I will ask to see if he has any pictures of it do.
