can you clay bar in the hot sun?

About to clay bar my car and am just wondering if i should wait for a cooler day? When i wash it on a hot day with the black paint the soap dries on before i can rinse sometimes. Does the bottle of lubricant that comes with the clay bars dry quickly too?

any hints? i was going to look up stu's how to but im not sure if it mentions this..

feedback would be appreciated thanks.

The lubricant that comes with the kit is pretty much detailing spray. I know with the black half of my car that it dries fast. It's best to park it in the shade for a couple hours to cool down before doing it.

I have never had a problem when barring my cars in the heat. Just keep the hose close when you go back over it. Wet first.

just got the hood and front clip done washed, clay barred and waxed.

looks great except the stone chips show alot more now.. ah well

Thanks for all the how-to's and help everyone! very pleased with the results! i just kept it in the shade and kept rewetting the bar when it started to stick.

the first picture is when just the hood was done, not the front clip. it shows the shine the best

the second picture looks more dull than it actually is due to the light.

Now, you just need to claybar the wheels. It's crazy how well it works!
