Damn scratches all along drivers side ... Will they buff out?
Yeah, so I was pissed the other night. I went out to the bar with a bunch of friends, and decided to park my car away from all the others like I always do to avoid drunk idiots. When I came out of the bar, there was a ******* cart right next to my car on the drivers side. I was so pissed ... and the next day I checked it out in the light, and there is a couple decent sized scratches down the side of my car. I rubbed my hand over them to feel if there was an edge, and there is no edge on them. Will I be able to buff them out relatively easily?

if there is no edge than you should be able to. first clean the car. i have seen my mom go out to her car and start wiping it with a towel and all that dirt scatches the **** out of it. get yourself some paste wax and try that.

run your fingernail over the scratches...if you dont feel anything then that is good. then go out and buy yourself some Meguiars ScratchX and a terry cloth and just keep working at them until they are gone.

Run your finger nail over the paint, if it catches you probrably can't get it completly out without wet sanding and high speed buffing. If not, just clean it and get some scratch doctor ( I think that's what it's called) from New Finish and use some elbow grease.

I just hope I can get them out PERIOD. I don't care if I have to wet sand it or not. Like I said, it just looks like a little contact scratch from the cart ... but it just killed me that it happened. I guess parking away from cars makes your car an even bigger target.
Oh, and is it good news if I cant see the scratches when the car is wet or when it's raining?

Yea, so would you rather have a few minor scratches that buff out or pay 190 for a new window. And yes, It was parked away from everyone else. Didn't mean to hi-jack your thread with my window, but just showing you what could have happened by parking out there.

either way if someones gunna do something its going to happen.. If its a nice car theyll do it whether its far or away.. Personally im a believer in parking far jus because when i parked close to someone i came out to a ncie key line front to back... would u rather have a broke window or repaint the entire drivers side of ure car?

that is so messed up. rule number one for my group of friends is never mess with another mans car. its our #1 sin besides a hit to the nuts. cuz when you do it someone else its bound to happen to you sometime down the road.
