new to washing car so
yes i know their are a million threads but i dont wanna get as in-depth as they get on cleaning their cars. I bought meguires deep crystal car wash and their clay bar kit and this is what im planing on doing....if u got something to add please do
1. thinking about mixing car wash soap with dish washing detergent to remove old wax right?
2.dry obviously
3. clay bar and wax and all the **** that comes with the kit
mainly i just wanna know what else i should do and if i should change #1

yea easy enough you should just use soap and water when you clay it instead of the detailing spray they give you.. thats what i do and i feel its alot quicker and easier

A pretty simply way to keep you car nice is this.
Simply wash, use dishsoap if you're going to wax/claybar. No need to mix it with normal car wash soap.
Dry, obv.
Use the claybar kit.
Wax.
You only need to claybar once every 6 months or so. This is a great time to do it, since winter is now over and the claybar will get the car super clean.
Waxing should be done more often, depending on how fast the wax you use goes away. You can tell that by how the water beads up. Good rule of thumb is every 6-8 weeks or so.

No need to... you're going to be using the clay bar, so you want it pretty bare and clean, which is what the dish soap will do.
As long as you're only using the dish soap as getting ready to wax, it's fine. For normal just washing, use car soap only.

I was really hoping some newb would come out and say that they shouldnt mix 2 different soaps because it has a massively explosive or corrosive PH balance a to clear coat.
Yea what they all said basicly, just make sure your car is soaped really well before you clay.

Other then that though, wash the car, clay, wash again, dry, and wax.
As for wax.........GO HERE : http://www.zymol.com/index.aspx
The wax is expensive, but it is some of the BEST on the market and worth every penny in my opinion. I use nothing but Zymol on my car from the soap, to the wax, to detailing the interior. This stuff is the best.
