So you wax your car twice a year! WTF is that man!

Dishsoap is just fine for removing all the wax and build up on the car, it's fine as long as you plan on waxing the car afterwards!

Why? Because I only wax the car twice a year?

If you use a lower quality wax such as Turtle Wax, or a medium grade such as Meguiars or Mothers, you are going to wax the car more because the wax does not stay on as long. Plus when you are washing the car with dish soap you are removing the wax everytime.

There is really no need to remove the wax and reapply it almost everytime you wash the car. All you are doing is creating a lot more work for yourself.

Other then that though, wash the car, clay, wash again, dry, and wax.

As for wax.........GO HERE : http://www.zymol.com/index.aspx

The wax is expensive, but it is some of the BEST on the market and worth every penny in my opinion. I use nothing but Zymol on my car from the soap, to the wax, to detailing the interior. This stuff is the best.
Dude,

I wash my car in dishsoap whenever i dont go to the autowash, nothing happens. Please stfu. You act like our clear coat is scotched tape.

Alright......your paint job....not mine. I prefer to keep my clear coat thick instead of thinning it out over time.

And "Please STFU"?? How nice of you to ask politely.

I actually apply my wax with my HANDS. If you read about the Zymol wax that is how they say to apply it. So no chance of swirls.

Here is the wax that I use:

Actually I never said there was no need to remove the old wax. I just highly recommend not using dish soap to remove it. Use a paint cleaner that is specific for cars.
