So you wax your car twice a year! WTF is that man!
Dishsoap is just fine for removing all the wax and build up on the car, it's fine as long as you plan on waxing the car afterwards!

Why? Because I only wax the car twice a year?
If you use a lower quality wax such as Turtle Wax, or a medium grade such as Meguiars or Mothers, you are going to wax the car more because the wax does not stay on as long. Plus when you are washing the car with dish soap you are removing the wax everytime.
There is really no need to remove the wax and reapply it almost everytime you wash the car. All you are doing is creating a lot more work for yourself.
Here is some info:

WHOA!!!!!!!!!! NEVER...and I repeat....NEVER use dish soap on your car. That soap is not made for a car and should not be used........period!!
Other then that though, wash the car, clay, wash again, dry, and wax.
As for wax.........GO HERE : http://www.zymol.com/index.aspx
The wax is expensive, but it is some of the BEST on the market and worth every penny in my opinion. I use nothing but Zymol on my car from the soap, to the wax, to detailing the interior. This stuff is the best.

I actually apply my wax with my HANDS. If you read about the Zymol wax that is how they say to apply it. So no chance of swirls.
Here is the wax that I use:

do this for me. next time you wash it, take your car out in the sun. take a pic with the sun directly on your hood. kthnx
in the only direct light picture there (3rd pic) i can see swirls all the way to the middle of your hood when the light is on the right side...
