query on paint...

Interior silver paint on the door armrests. Is it all painted that badly? What has anyone done for replacement inserts to fix? Anyone replace with an actual chrome piece or peuter piece or something along those lines?

Mine is scratching off and peeling from my watch rubbing against it.

it doesnt have a clear coat on so the paint chips real easily, some members just repainted it themselves and added on the clear coat theres a how to i believe in the how to section

Mine was wearing off to, I repainted with duplicolor truck van & suv paint #T347 if you have the silver thats the closest match. Sanded everything down with 800, the 1000 grit finish paper, hit it with adhesion promoter, painted 3 coats, the 3 clear. Matches perfect if not a bit shinier.

They come off easy, just be careful when you pry back the cover plate cause it is flimsy and it will break easy. 2 screws after than , unhook harness and boom it's out.
