waxing over wax

bought my ss/sc cobalt back in july. When i purchased it I also bought the auto buttler. Its when i take the car back to the dealership ever six months to add a protective coat over the car. Now my question is can i put another type of wax like ''BLACK MAGIC PLATINUM WAX" over the protective coat to add a deep wet gloss look? When I asked the auto detailer what they put on the car . the guy said "just wax"

you sure can, when i really detail my car and get it looking good I do two coats of wax. If this is your daily driver though I would suggest waxing in between those 6 month "coatings", I do mine about once a month. Its also a good idea to clay your car every now and then and polish it when needed also. If your really looking for that deep wet glossy look give Meguiars NXT tech wax a try, its awesome, doesnt last real long but thats why you re-apply.

check out meguiars.com, autopia.org, and autogeek.net, there is a lot more to car paint care than you could ever imagine.
