What to buy next?
What to buy next?
I'm coming up on my last major detail before the winter, and I'm looking at picking up a new product or two for my exterior. Here is a list of what I have, please post any other suggestions. I'm pretty happy with what I've been using so far so I'd prefer different types of products rather than different brands of what I already have, but let me know.
Turtle Wax ICE Polish
Turtle Wac ICE Quick Detailer
Meguiar's Gold Class Wax
Clay Bar (forget what brand)
Clay Bar Lube
Armor All Extreme Tire Shine

Turtle Wax is great at marketing, but so-so at product performance. Sure, their commercials will make you think ICE will stop global warming, create world piece, and even do your laundry, but take that with a grain of salt. Most professional detailers stay far, far away from Turtle Wax products. The only over the counter brand that is amazingly popular to pro detailers is Meguiars.
Once you start using brands like Menzerna, Optimum, Zaino, Prima, Poorboys, Pinnacle, Zymol, etc, you'll first realize that one, you've probably never heard of them before, and two, they rely on results, not clever marketing.
I like them for that reason. These products become popular due to their merit, not their advertising budget. So try some of them out, see what you like. No one brand is "the best", its all subjective. Use what works for you, and prepare to become addicted to the world of detailing
