What tire foam/shine do you use?

Ive been using Armour All Tire foam for a while but it only lasts a couple of days.

Anything out there that lasts more than several days?

Let me know what you use and any other methods of keeping your tires black.

I use NO TOUCH tire care lasts about a week.

I would like something that isnt a spray and more of a application pad or something of that nature to avoid over spray on the wheels

Turtle wax jet black lasts the longest

I like using 303 aerospace. Not shiny but works well and leaves a clean lok appearance.

My best experience so far is chemical guys vrt i think its called. Pretty much the same stuff that adamspolishes makes for less money, and the adamspolisbes stuff is definately one of the better, longer lasting ones.

Apply, let dry, and you got some nice, dark finishes on the tires and black trim. Still leaves a bit of that nasty, dirt attracting greasy feel though,

Meguiar's or Griots gel ftw

Try using a water-based dressing such as Meguiar's Hyper Dressing at a 1:1 ratio. Gels and other solvent based tire shines will eventually harden the rubber and make them more susceptible to cracking over time. Here is a GT40 I detailed last year.

Good stuff. Haven't used their tire gel but I love ONR for washing and quick detailing. I rarely wash the old fashioned way anymore.

I cant believe how curbed those GT wheels are.

Staged07SS 04-16-2015 01:55 PM

Mequiar's tire gel only for me.

Doesnt sling or get on your paint.

Tire foams tend to be messy.

Yeah, the guy tracks it and it sees alot of abuse.

I used the turtle wax tire shine kit. It dries on and doesn't fling up on the paint

Xmetalhead2003X 04-21-2015 06:58 PM

I use black magic tire foam to clean, and the tire wet gel to dress. They has a black matte spay a while ago that worked wonders, but is now discontinued.

What tire foam/shine do you use?

I use turtle wax tire shine ATM. Applied with a brush lol (please tell me I'm not the only one that does this). And a meguiers aluminum wheel cleaner but looking for a stronger one. I use wheel acid when it's very bad to clean them but you have to be quick as to not damage the rims. If only it was easier to buy that stuff lol

i do a lot of detailing on the side and i use the Adams polishes V.R.T same stuff riceburner mentioned and it works great. its a gel and goes on with a foam pad. i detail 2 vettes all the time and one is a daily driver and the stuff seems to always be on the tires when i come back to it haha
