white ss love hate relationship
alirght i have an 09 white ss and i love the color white but hate how is shows every piece of dirt and road grime. Im looking for tips to make cleaning easier and also was wondering if not washed for a bit of time will the white paint stain? Ive been also having trouble with little bits of metal/ particles landing on mainly rear of car and making little bits of rust, such a pain to scrub off. What cleaners are safe and do a good job? Is claybar need? Any help/ input is much appreciated.

Those dots are rail dust from transport. It is imbedded in the paint and a clay bar will not take it off! It requires wet sanding and the dealer told me that you have an X amount of time from when you pick up the car to get it taken care of for no charge.

But as a friend told me once.... Detailing a white car is like farting in the shower... Only YOU know what you have done!

No, I've had no luck with clay on them.

This is 100% true, if you havent had your car long you need to take it back to the dealership asap. Alot of new cars get rail dust but white shows it bad.

The light tan tiny spots you will continue to get , and all cars do ...white just shows the color better . Its mainly from brake dusting mixed in with all the other tar and road debris that is thrown on the rear bumper and sides of the car .
Get a good proffessional clay bar like a meguires "mild" blue bar , u will be amazed . Be wary of the aggressive ones though , like their red bar , it will haze the paint like a compound and will need to be buffed back out to a perfect finish .
