MAKE SURE YOU DISCONNECT THE BATTERY!!! Otherwise you could have a face full of passenger side airbag

ok yes whenever you are dealing with removing the dash always disconnect the negative terminal directly from the battery to disable the air bags.

now since there are 11 pictures for the ion dash removal, here is the link to them to my website as i do not want to have this thread take an hour to load just incase.

the pictures are numbered in order of removal for ease of use.

that would take me a little while to do a side by side comparison if they have the diagrams for them and i would have to look them up. i might be able to do it another day but im just about to go and relax before i got to bed. if you send me a pm reminding me in a day or so then i should be able to do it.

Took take the head unit off, pop the piece that is above the glove box, then the to left of the head unit, the main cover off of the head unit piece and there will be 4 screws holding it in. Use a 10mm socket and there you go.

no synner its a gm website that gm employee's get and to get the stock head unit out you just need to take the trim around the dash off not the entire dash.
