cobaltssredtint vs billigss/c (thats right ross you being called out)

We have been talking about my revenge against billigss/c since i lost to him twice when i had a bad clutch and just stage 2...we both have been talking a lot of trash and we are gonna video tape so this time we have proof ..now its time for a race (at the track)

My mods: stage 2.8, 42 lbs , airbox mod, and tranny mount
His mods: stage 2.9 , full exhaust, injen intake

i use 2.8 with 42s and my idcs hit about 93% 7000 rpm
methanol dropped it to the 80s.

Anyway it will be close, but ross has a slight advantage. I saw a bigger gain getting exhaust than going from a 3.0 to a 2.8

good luck and be safe

lol you would do this Ish.

You're goin down my friend. And way to drop the 2.8 on there since you're scared of my car. That's gonna help you out, same with the mounts.

Me = Stage 2 with a 2.9 pulley, Vibrant header/blown downpipe (****), GMPP exhaust, Injen CAI. I should probably put the Ingalls back on for this and go get my driver's mod.

As Justin would say... This is legit.

2.8 + 42s wont blow it up. ur more likely to pop pistons due to EGTs.

Just get a H/E and some meth and your good. Jesus quite crying about the IDCs. Although lsj is correct, anything over 80-85% means its usually maxed. Its a matter of time before it goes static at 120%.

However being that i dont drive up past 6500 RPM unless i race every now and then, im not worried about it.

Have both cars been tuned by HPT? I think the winner will be the person with the best tune.

Billing will win. I can't beleive that you guys are running around on smaller pullies without a new tune. For the guy with the 2.8 I would keep an eye on your a/f and IDC's , if you don't have a wideband that is just retarded. I have pretty maxed out my 42's with a 2.9. My IDC's are in the lower 90% range @ 7000 and some change with an A/F of 11.2.

no custom tune = bye bye IDCs with a 2.8

i had to drop my AFR to 11.8-11.9 on 2.8 just to get 93%

True and it doesn't sound like he has any cooling mods which is even worse. Before I had cooling mods with the 2.9 my IAT2's would easily climb 60 degrees on a short pull from 40- 100.

I dunno guys, we raced once before when Ish didn't have the 2.8, just the 3" stage 2 pulley and I didn't beat him by that much so I think he's got a damn good chance at beating me. All I know is we can't do a one race and out thing gotta do a few. Maybe even a 40-roll or two.

um i had my 2.8 on for about a lil bit now....plus its go big or go boom.....but thx for the advice, i knew the 2.8 with the 42's isn the brightest idea ever but haven have any problems with it so far and im gonna keep that car long since im getting rid of it but if i wasn my first thing to do would have been a h/e, tune and full exhaust...
