SS/SC Rims, custom paint. Any Prefrences?
Alright guys, I have a set of 18" SS/SC rims. They dont look fantastic, so im going to be sanding them all down, and repainting them and selling them. They will be base-coated and cleared. I planned on doing them just gloss black but i figured if anybody is looking for a set of rims, and wanted something inparticular, I cant paint it that color. Maybe you want 2 tone or something. Looking to get $300 so i can gather some materials and repaint my car.

^wanna two-tone it metallic orange and black
If your honestly considering it I can get a price on some sunburst orange paint. It can be done. Let me know. Factory match paint is a bit more expensive.

I AM interested in getting body panels painted in a deep burgundy, to contrast with the black. I don't know how far you are from va. beach but once my car is up again, I would like to get that done. My wheels would come along later.
Got a post back up i see. Thought we had a deal on 200 for the 4 rims. was going to come down not last weekend but the weekend before. see if you could drive up north for about an hour or two cause its 5 hours to ur house. if u dont sell them for the price you want, i'll still do 200 for them. no need to paint them cause i was going to do that myself unless u do a design with the sunburst orange and black.
I've seen some of your work on here, so I trust your opinion lol.
But if you would rather do the actual factory paint then thats fine too.

lol i could do black and white but how many people want a white lip. And i got some prices on orange paint....and it is one of the most expensive colors to buy. along with red. around $600 a gallon. so $150 a quart to put on the rims. lets say a pint will do and thats $75. So i could get some but it would be like an extra $75. Thats just a guestimate if they would even divide it into a pint for me

Damn dude if I had known you were selling these I would have paid you for the rims and for u to flat black them. But I ended up paying 200 bucks for my rims and driving 2 hours and 40 bucks in paint to get what I got below

I was thinking about doing black with graphite inserts. But not sure if I would like it.

thats pretty good price actually. thanks. guessing you supplied boxes and everything
its lookign like im gonna be spraying gloss black as I have deep black paint and clear, and so far havent had any serious PM's about a different look. Started sanding rims down, been prepping my mothers mustang for racing stripes so that should be sprayed tommorow and friday I can finish sanding and get a coat of etch prime on these rims

Yea as long as you don't have rubber mounted and filled it's not offal. One wheel and tire mounted cost me $55 to ship.
Should look into single stage for something that takes a lot of abuse. If you go base-clear look into PPG's DX-57 Base Coat Hardener. That **** will stand up to almost anything.

I got some etch prime, and some nice deep black diamont basecoat left over from putting rally stripes on a mustang. Im gonna spray it with that, just gotta get a clear for them. Ill be painting these probobly wednesday thursday next week once I finish re-clearing this mustang hood and trunk. Seems like gloss black is what several people like and ill probobly sell them quick if they were gloss black. If you get like a red vinyl pin stripe and run it along the outside lip, that would be pretty sweet.
