Ocean City Maryland 2010 Car Show/ Cobalt Meet - FAILS/WINS
All in all, it was a great meet! Good turnout, fun times, great cars at the show! But there were some things that... let's say.... shouldn't have been. So, I figured I'd post this up to have some fun and to see if anyone else caught anything... unusual.... and would like to share. I will start.
1 - Coordinator - Brian (blazinbaltss) didn't show!? It would've been great to see him agin - FAILT EDIT - ok he's getting married... still FAIL
2 - Lots of Balts - WIN! But staying for 10 minutes, not talking to anyone, then leaving? This is a FAIL (and this was like 8 of you)
OK, now some pics!
Before leaving to OC, like anyone else, washed their car. At the car wash I went over to the shampooer because I had some spots to get out of my seat. When I saw THIS, I decided not to use it due to fear of what may come out. - FAIL

6 inch intake? - FAIL Is that an Anaconda?

There were plenty more, I just didn't take pics. But here is the last one that I have:
First, I want to say, I LOVE this car, I LOVE the rims, and I'm NOT making fun of this guy, we cruised with him and 2 others just like it along the way to OC for a bit. So this is just an example cause I saw a BUNCH of cars that had the same thing and looked terrible!

19X8.5F/19X10R rims - WIN
19X10 rim with a 245 tire - FAIL
Looked like the tire is holding on for dear life, trying to reach the outer lip of the rim. Geez, might as well just put a 185 tire on our stock rims. The tires that I saw even had a lip protector on them. But it wasn't anyway near the lip of the rim lol
- Off topic story - the 3 Lexus' that we cruised with for a little... one of them unfortunatly got pulled over. They weren't speeding... Ryan said the guy got a ticket for CONVOYING.... WTF? Is that really illegal??
Let me see those wins and fails!!

Tire stretching or mounting tires "Hipari Style" originated in Japan. The reason for such setup mainly stemmed from auto enthusiasts wanting to lower their vehicle which sits on outrageously wide wheels without the tires hitting the fenders. They also camber their wheels to help in gaining some clearance.
People DO this for a reason. Less sidewall equals less flex and more responsive steering. It's the same reason drag racers run stretch out, because side to side flex is somewhat nill and they get the largest contact patch possible. In my lifetime I've never seen a stretched tire debead unless it was curbed or put into a severe pothole. That could happen with any tire.

I KNOW this!
There were a few that I saw that were WAAY too small though. Look at the pics of the Lexus. Very clean, less than 1/4-1/8th of an inch space between the lip and the tire, very nicely done!BUT... There was a Corrola that had and inch or inch and 1/2 space between the tire and the lip. TOTALLY done wrong. It was OUTRAGEOUS!
we need to move to a bigger lot next year... every time we go there its confusion from when we first pull up. a lot of us went to hooters, i was going to stay over with everyone but i didnt want to get my car towed while at hooters, nor did i know what the wait was. sorry guys

That intake is actually called a Whale *****. And it is hardly fail. It is designed like that so there are no "dead spots" where the air is just sitting. Its like a venturi and is the best designed short ram for Hondas. Plus it sounds amazing, way different than a regular short ram or cold air.

I had a good time at the meet but i did some really dumb **** while down in OC. Raced an M3 and a new style all done up with the full mugen package and a 75 shot. Both got rofl stomped but it was so not smart ******* around on coastal highway. We also saw a LOT of boobies while blasting the air horn at people, thank you to all you dirty ***** who felt the need to flash us, we salute you! Last but not least, on tuesday me and my buddy went to the hotel bar. At some point some found out i was having a baby in a month and also just got engaged while at the beach!. It turned into the whole place buying us shot after shot. At somepoint we made our way out to a bustop and for some unfathomable reason i felt it was necessary to launch one of the big metal trash bins lining the sidewalk into the street. How did we not get a ticket or get arrested down there i will never know!
