I'll be going, same as Jess's cavy

I'll have my stock cat in my trunk and run the car with the new 3" downpipe+cat. I lost 5# of boost but still pulls ok, just need to know if it's a good loss of backpressure, or bad.

BTW what are you going to be running that will get you into 13's. Considering track conditions, I don't think it'll be to good for it. but hell that I'm saying, I've been having poor car problems... clogged cat, funny little tuning problem..

See yall there.

hehe... I got 14.2 stock..... and I was running damn near 20 psi (with boost bypass) till I changed out for my new 3"cti cat which I'm now at 15 psi max lol.... but waiting for track to see if it was a good loss of backpressure or bad loss. If bad, it's no biggey cause I have my stock one in trunk

If it rains... I don't know much to do... def need pictures, I can't think of anything indoor haha. Museum :-P

Only 4 days to go. This should rock!!

I just picked up a GM stage II upgrade for my car. I found it through ebay today. It turns out that Quirk chevy in braintree, MA had an auction for 6...thats right, they have 6...Gm stage II kits. I called the parts department and they offered to let me just pick it up from them for the auction price of $599. I'm wicked stoked. Its the whole kit with belt, injectors, hub and pulley.....now i just need to get the install done.....

You think we can do this sunday? anyone have a GM tech II they can steal???

I also have an AEM CAI, and an Ingalls ETD laying around for install.

Can't freakin wait for more boost.....just have to try to explain to my lady why i need to be spending all this money on a new car.....(She just doesnt get it)

You can't just use the tech 2, the dealer needs to get your app code, call gm and give code, they email stage reflash, and then they upload the reflash to your car. The reflash file can ONLY be used by your car, AND it can only be used ONCE. Good luck installing, don't expect a whole lotof boost with just stage 2 3" pulley.

I like my setup all in all cost me 350 plus the cost of HPtuners but that will pay itself off one day or another.

Also alot of people have problems with the stage 2 reflash, idle problems, engine power reduced mode, and I can't remember what else. I know they have the new flash file floating around but I haven't seen anyone get it all fixed.

Ohh and just cause you get motor mounts of engine stabilizers doesn't mean you fix traction problems... you'll still spin, just if you launch to hard you won't hop, or will get very minute amounts.

i haven't had any problems with the stage reflash.. stage one and two are the same right? yeah.. with motor mounts you spin alot.. you guys know i got the falken azzennis on my car and i can spin those going into second.. yea for traction. my car runs friggen awesome on the street, i just want one really good day at the track and i'll be happy.

i've never done the boost bypass thingy.. you think i can get a slightly better time if i use it?

Yeah, i just read up about the ECM reprogram for the stage II, i didnt think it was that involved.

As far as the newer software upgrade they release, supposedly it smooths out pretty much all issues according to the people in the 2.0 performance section that had this flash done. I'm hoping all will be smooth sailing.

My biggest concern right now is trying to hold on to some warranty with this car. I do understand there is talk now about the stage kits not being warrantied anymore, but i'm going to talk to my local service manager to confirm this. And with the AEM cai, i wont get oil on the MAF and flub that all up, and it doesnt look like it is visible from under the hood.

I was debating about the ingalls ETD, and doing pros and cons with motor mounts. the only reason i went with this is because i'm not racing my car all the time...at all....and i hate just driving normally and when i do get wheel spin it turns into violent hopping. Plus, i didnt want alot of in-cab vibrations. If i change my direction with the car, then i'll consider mounts, but for now, i may be happy with these upgrades.

see ya'll sunday

How about we all meet at the lowes off of exit 7 on route 101 at around noon, and we'll make up our minds from there. that seems like a pretty easy place to get to, and if the track is going to happen, we are right there, if not, we cruise to the next location.

i agree when i last checked the weather it was a chance of rain and only 30 percent so we might luck out and get an overcast day instead

Serious question, any one have a pulley puller/installer i can loan? I just talked to the Service manager at my dealer and he said i can hang out during the install. The tech who would most likely be doing the work said he has a big bearing press he could use. I was hoping to use something that would likely have less of a consequence if things go wrong.

the dealer said he would charge me no more than $300 for the install...but said it would probably end up being less....maybe...no final word on price...they will figure it out when they get the car in there.

They havent done anything like this before so they are very willing to work with me on this and the manager said he would love to get more into the performance aspect at that dealership....i think i might end up being a guinea pig
