Top speed for a Cobalt SS/TC 08 stage 1?
I'm not saying I hit it exactly, but a porsche was doing 170(as he said, top speed for his porsche) and I was still pulling really hard. As I said it will never happen again, I hate myself for ever doing that and havent really raced anyone since. Guy cut me off on an empty interstate in mexico racing a TRD Supercharged Scion TC so I blew past em both. It ended up turning into the porsche wanting to race me.
The fastest police cars in my area are an SRT-8 Charger (has an exhaust, not sure what else), a 2011 Camaro(Pretty sure its a stock SS1), and a base model C5 Corvette (thats stock as far as I know). Its rare you run into them. They also have a few muscle cars but they're mostly for show and drag only. When I get my trans I may go to the drag strip when they have their event where you get a chance to race all their cars.
Yes this is the file for a solstice but the limiter is the same for all LNF GMS1's

ok so all these people claiming more than 155 are full of ****? i've also read many sources that say it's drag limited.
hptuned you can change it to whatever you want.
i would say it's not drag limited i've had my speedo past 160 before, now how accurate that was idk didn't have hpt hooked up.
Top speed:
Electronically limited to 155mph on the LNFs stock, unless set higher in a tune.
Electronically limited to 158mph on the LSJs stock, unless set higher in a tune.
Speed is reported to the ECU/speedo by the vehicle speed sensor and is therefore subject to any inaccuracy of it.
Drag limited at a higher speed, depending on power and aero mods/options.
I've seen a tuned SS/TC sedan blow through the 155 barrier and leave me in the dust chasing down a Charger SRT8. He was past the end of the speedo, so we're estimating somewhere in the 170-ish mph area before he let off. There were about half a dozen witnesses that saw him leave me, and I had the stock limiter at the time. Point in case: You can go faster than the stock limiter if you really wanted to. That whole drag limited at the exact same speed that it's electronically limited at claim is BS.

for those who read computers and wiki stfu. grow a pair and go do it for yourself and stop calling me and others liars. I used gps and checked after i did it and it said 162. I might have been able to go more but I was worried about heat and pistons so I pushed the clutch in and slowed down.
Yeah, GPS is nice because it completely avoids that whole speed sensor inaccuracy thing.
One of these days, people are going to be all like "Nuh uh! No way! You need at least a 10 satellite fix with WAAS/RAIM for it to be true." lol
