Supercharged-Swapping to 6-rib LSJ belt completely
So far I have collected an
-LSJ alternator
-LSJ belt tensioner assembly with bracket
-LSJ idler pulley
I think all I need now is an
-LSJ AC compressor (or is it possible to swap just the pulley?)
-LSJ Harmonic balancer, I think I am just going to get the ATI super damper. Is it only available in under-drive or overdrive configurations? No normal size pulley? I don't really want overdrive but I definitely don't want under-drive as I am SC'd. Will an LSJ crank swap direct to our engines no problem?

Dont know if the balancer is direct swap or not, and overdrive ati is the same as dropping one pulley size. So a 3.1 will be a 3.0, etc. And id spend the money on an ati if you have plans to mod this more and more. Gives you room to grow. And i have an m62 for sale if you want it

I will be trying to swap the pulley off of the LSJ AC pump so I will update how that goes. In the meantime I was wondering if anyone knew what bolts these components take. Edit: I found the information in the how to section for a supercharger install.
"The bolts that hold the Tensioner and Alternator in place must be 1 inch longer than the stock bolts. The size is (i believe) metric M8 1.25 thread 120mm long, but it might be 130mm long. Just measure the stock ones and add about 25mm to find out for sure. This size is not sold at most locations like Lowes or Home Depot, and you will probably need to find a specialty store to obtain them. Most basic hardware stores will only carry that bolt in sizes up to 80-90mm, not 120mm"
Edit: I did some measuring myself and it looks like these bolts are supposed to thread in about 15-20mm into the block. By adding 15mm to the overall length the bolt has to be to go through the alternator and bracket and bracket assembly I came up with:
3X-120mm long M8 1.25 thread
1X-40mm long M8 1.25 thread
1X-22mm long M8 1.25 thread
So far I think these are the only extra bolts needed. It looks like the idler pulley can re-use the stock L61 tensioner bolt.

So I tried to swap the pulley/clutch from an old LSJ AC pump onto my L61 AC compressor and it will not work. The shady is the same diameter but that is about it.
If you want to buy a new 6 rib compressor it is a Delphi CS20064. They are available on amazon and other online stores.
