Got T-boned...
Had a lady T-bone my car in a parking lot yesterday. I literally drove by her, saw that she was looking down and it was at that moment that I knew, she was going to hit me. Anyway, she hit me hard as she accelerated aggressively from the stop as someone was coming behind her and she panicked.
Driver rear wheel is pushed in and angled up, driver rear door is toast, large main panel is toast and more underneath I'm sure.

Thank you guys. Very grateful it wasn't out in a major intersection and at higher impact speed. Grateful to walk away unscathed.
LOL yep... she didn't want to admit fault at first and claimed she had told her husband (who arrived shortly after) the "whole story". I asked him if she also informed him that she was looking down? He looked at me like "Are you ******* kidding me!?". I said "And judging by your reaction, she neglected to mention that part. If that same piece of info is left out, your insurance company is going to dig their heels in and I'm screwed. YOU hit me and there was nothing I could have done to prevent the situation. period. There is no 50/50 here. WE didn't hit, you hit me."
She started to sob and he pulled her aside. Came back, shook my hand and agreed to sign a statement admitting fault.

I bet she was looking at her phone and the cops can check that.
I'm always worried as I spend more and more modding my car that something like this will happen. Can't fix drivers who don't pay attn. good luck and let us know how it goes.

Update - Estimate of $3100 to fix, not including the "open" clause for the rear suspension due to the way everything is shifted. I'm guessing it could come out to as much as $4500 to fix and that being the case, I'm going to assume they would write it off.
We'll see :-/

They originally quoted $2250 so his number might be way higher than where mine ended up. I asked what the cost would be if they were to total it just to see how close I was. The Insurance adjust guestimated around $8000. if the airbags went off, we'd be having a different conversation.

Yeah, estimator at the shop has confirmed the total will more than likely double. Needs a new quarter for sure. Said he was also very concerned about the camber angle of the rear wheels (he brought it up before I had a chance). He loved the car and was telling the subie fanboys that work for him that the rental was a wolf in sheep's clothing.
