that sub is highly underpowered with that amp.... lol, nice deck though, i have the same one, i also have 2 type r's on a jl 500x1 and i am getting another 500x1 soon. Did you switch your factory speakers as well? I replaced the fronts with type r 6.5 components, and the rears with 6.5 coaxials driven with a jl e4300.... the system sounds awesome... my newest addition was the alpine cd changer which is mounted where that factory pioneer sub is, i will snap some pics next time im home, i made the brackets myself..... came out pretty good for a cost of like 7 bucks...... also, i do like the way those look, the wheels look good, and the grill looks a lot better then ours, i wish ours had the honey comb instead of the bars...... the concept did!!!

Im no expert, but couldnt you add the mods that chev will make for the 2.4L SS and attach them to the GT. Seems like it would work, since its exact same engine.

The R Type in 2004 were conservatively rated at 300 RMS So if anything its over powered.

What I understand is that Pontiac is trying desperatly trying to regain some interest with customers in the small car market which is not doing so well in!! So yes its a Chevy Cobaltss 2.4L with some minor cosmetic changes nothing more, same engine etc, but sweet a** wheels though! I wonder what thier going 4? And its only in Canada, dont ask why though..Nice ride though!!

I dont know where you got that information from, but the manuals that came with mine, which i have had for 2 years now say 500 watts rms, that is why i bought them, maybe the canadian model was different....
