Well the title clears up what the thread is about so....... anyone have any news from Hahns about the 2.4 turbos?

 

Last post which was only weeks ago stated they needed a way to manage the boost so I am unsure now.

 

Got this e-mail yesterday from them.

We are actually dyno testing today and tomorrow! The kit is a further development of the system we already have in production for Solstice. We expect to have more information very soon, so keep in touch!

They've been pushing the stock motor more and more so hopefully our kits come with a little more power then the Solstice kits got.

 

sweet and this will work with the automatic transmission

 

According to celica they will but we will have to wait till they release the kit.

Oh ok yeah seen that. Thought you were tlaking about Cobalt specific numbers. But the stock 2.4 is definalty impresive.

man it sucks having the cash to purchase the kit but no kit there to buy, i just cant wait and yeah the auto is supposed to work but im not sure at what power levels it will need upgraded at.

 

how much is the kit expected to cost? And does the kit come with everything except an clutch?

but they have differnt stages correct? i thought the stg 2 was like 270ish whp stg3 was 290whp? if i can reliably get 300whp for 4 grand im deffintly willing to pay for that

 

yeah thats for stage 2, 3 would probably only be a few more pennys since it builds off stage 2

They (HRC) will be coming out with details very soon.

yea it would be cool to have bill on here... i'm really looking foward to the numbers and info on the kit as i'm very highly thinking of doing it.

 

well lets put it this way, if the kit came out today i would have already paid for it so lets get a 2.4 kit out soon bill.

 

Well I sent them an email a couple of days ago and this is there response.

"Yes we are currently working on the Cobalt 2.4ss. Our preliminary numbers are very promising, I will add you to our database and notify you as more details become available."
