No_ss build thread
I figured since I'll be doing quite a few things to my car this year I would make one of these as well.
Here's the history and what not:
Bought my car on March 25th, 2015, GMS1 and clutch masters stage 3 clutch in the car when I bought it.
I then got PandaTuned and just bought new headlights because the old ones were hideous and I also straight piped along with ZZP Drilled and slotted rotors and Hawk HPS pads
Then my intercooler went pop because 25psi tune, so I bought a TR10 with a Treadstone hot side pipe.
My car stayed like this for a while on Pandas tune. I then took the fender stripes because I started to hate them
then I bought HPTuners recently and started tuning with KMO43 on 93 and put down 320whp and 385wtq with a minor fuel leak at the time.
Then I bought BC Racing Type BR coilovers and installed them. They were used but they were such a good deal I couldn't pass them up and it came with all new tools and new sway bar endlinks.
Then recently I went wingless and lowered the rear just a slight bit more
Recently I started the process of polishing my wheels, I saw Wert842's wheels and that's what inspired me to do mine. Currently in the process.
So far I've only hit 1 wheel with 400 grit.
I'm getting 2 245/40 NT05 tires later this week since my continentals are bald.
I'm also on E47 now
Future mods: southbend stage 4+ clutch and fidenza flywheel and new TOB since mine is dead lol then stage 1 cams with fuel lobe and Opel injectors so I can run full E85 and go all out on k04 then save for a 7163.
All current tuning done by KMO43 and so far my fastest 60-100 has been 5.3sec

ok this is very important, how are you going to use the car?
Daily Driver/Circuit?
or
Drag Racing?
He is ready for both right now but you might have different goals and reliability/Drivability requirements, specially if you are building a Street/Circuit car like me. I am finishing my build and spent a little over 8k myself over 2 years and 4 months. Mine is for Street/Circuit and I project spending 1.4k more before I finish. The costs will depend on your ability to get things done yourself. Lucky for us, this site haves plenty of knowledgeable folks that will chip in with advice
