Koni rear shocks with coilovers
Like the thread topic states, has anyone used Koni Yellows with a coilover spring setup? I have K-sports with a blown rear shock, was looking at Koni Yellows instead of buying replacement k-sport shocks.
Any advice here?

That doesn't mean it is a good idea. To each his own though. I'm biased towards performance. I also think the proper way to stance a car is on bags so that you can actually drive the thing if you want to too. IMO if you are scraping either tires or the bottom of your car, you are doing it wrong.

I am scraping neither and I am on coils. The point is that you do not need the performance of yyz springs on the street, and many cobalts never see a track or a strip. Colodude tracks his car so yyzs are the best option for him. I do not. It is simply a fun car that I road race from time to time. Therefore, coils will do just fine for me and many others.

OP just wanted an opinion on putting Koni's in his ksports and everyone is just telling him to get yyzs. And once again since you don't seem to get it, what is BEST is determined by what you are using it for.

And as far as cobaltss gang are you talking about a facebook group? Facebook sucks so that would be unfortunate.

I wouldn't do it. The damping rate would probably be mis-matched to the spring rate.
I used an SSTC strut with Megan coilover springs in the rear. Bouncy as hell.
