Did base models not come with abs ? Weird. I remember my old 05 Altima not having abs lol. Fun in the snow. Never had issues.
The base base models didn't come with ABS at least in 06. I think the LT's and other base models did have ABS. It's not a big deal you just have to pay attention and know not to mash on the brakes as hard as you can.

Rod is bent lol. The other intake valve is tweaked. Cyl 1 lol. It’s my old lsj. I think I can drop in a rod and piston and send it. Sleeves are mint.

How many hours / minutes was it running?
Valve failure?
What spring pressure are you running?

when it broke. Instant shut off. Cylinder flooded. 82#. No broken springs or lash adjusters. Drivetrain looked mint. I just removed it all to remove cams.

Not how long did it run after the valve broke, how long after the rebuild? It doesn't look like it ran long.

as long as nothing gets married or kisses. You should be fine. Usually you get valves marrying pistons. In my case it was a shotgun wedding and a quick divorce. Damn piston left her walking sideways back to her mommas house.
Lol. My brain works in intricate ways

Sad day. Sold the shell to a good set of people. It was sad to load her up and drive her to the new owner. No drivetrain. Basically a shell. Upon arrival. I got a glimpse of the other Cobalt with my old 2.1l built block and f23 swap. It was kinda heart warming to see. Also on the 2nd pic. It made me realize. My brother and I both had the same color Car combo as the new owner and his friend. They seem more like brothers tbh. I dug our the picture of my little brother Cobalt and mine from a meet long ago. After leaving the car there. I wasn’t too bummed out. I left happy knowing it’s getting all the stuff I had for it right back on. Even the es2 wheels I originally had, going back on. Owned this car for what. 5-6 years? I think this is a fitting end to it.

I think 15+ had mag ride. Honestly. You don’t need it. If your gonna mod it to the teeth. Get a 14. Most people do that to go fast. A 15+ requires a lot extra loot to make em perform like 15 inch wheels vs 17 wheels for a 15+.

It was this or the camaro. I love the camaro. I also love the ss since they came out. Prices were out of my league but I bit the bullet and no regrets. I’m actually in Florida with t right now. Drove it down. Such a blast to drive.

If I get one I probably won't mod it much since I have the balt for that, but I'm sure the SS would be a blast to drive modded

I would prolly return the Balt to stock and keep it stock if I redid this. The SS is just faster and compared to my 500 hp Cobalt. The SS would blow its doors off from a dig. On a roll it’s a different story but nothing crazy.

Asylum just set a new record for the SS world. These cars are just nuts. I’m happy I got it. It’s capable of 10’s with just an LSA blower lol. Well a few other things and my foot.
