Ecotec engine rebuild-What parts do you have?
I am getting things in motion to rebuild an L61 but with a used LSJ block. I was wondering what all components you have available that I would need. Trying to see what you have all at once so I can purchase the parts in a single order. First I will start with what I think I will be reusing.
-L61 head
-ARP head studs (from L61 block hopefully work with LSJ block)
-Forged rods and pistons
-crank (Are OEM L61 cranks available?)
-Timing chain kit from L61(pretty much new kit that I bought from you with upgraded bolts)
I did not replace balance shaft and water pump components. Plan on going with either balance shaft delete or neutral balance shafts.
-Oil pan
-All intake, exhaust and pulley components.
Now what I think I need
-Sleeves
-Main bearings
-Con-rod bearings
-Seals? (not sure which ones I need)
-Gaskets (have spar exhaust and intake so just head gasket)
-ATI super damper
-NBS or balance shaft delete kit
I may be missing some things but this is off the top of my head.

How much about are custom pistons like that for future reference?

I've thought about it but really with my L61 setup I think my crank is the weakest link. Doesn't the LSJ block have a bit more material around the sleeve than the L61? My L61 block held together. Really this time around I won't be adding much power just the equivalent pulley drop by using the OD ATI and whatever Foximus's head does for me. FYI I am running 2.9" pulley on TVS currently.
