hptuners helping friend out

I have hptuners and have tuned LS stuff (6 cars to be exact).

My buddy brought me his car to tune for him, he just purchased this 06 cobalt SS. When he got it, it ran decent but needed some love. The intake filter was destroyed and clogged up and was throwing o2 sensor code. They cleaned the throttle body, put new o2 sensor in it, new air filter, and new maf. Car runs worse now that it did before, LTFT seems to be disabled and STFT is 20-30% off.
I downloaded a stage 2 and stock tune file off the repository. The tune was far off from stock and almost exactly the stage 2 tune except injector data was a little off. But close

Aftermarket exhaust, intake, and maybe injectors. The injectors are siemens injectors, but are not sure the flow rate.

Any help on where to start getting this car to idle and run decent? Thanks!! Virtual VE isnt the same on this car and seems like the PE settings are way different too. Thanks

What do you need help with? Tune it and it will probably run better.

You need to get the injectors figured out. If you just copy pasted a stage 2 tune off the repository there is a good chance the injector data is off.

Injectors is definitely the place to start. What does the car have?

Did you notice this?
The MAP and TPS look like their loosing their reference low at the same time. They commonly share that.

He needs to log things differently to understand what's going on. The setup for an LS motor isn't good for the LSJ.

His MAF values match the MAP and TPS changes which makes me think the ECU is trying to make something work for a given throttle position

Sorry haven't replied back yet. I do need to set my log differently for sure, as soon as I connected to this vehicle it cleared all my channels to what's there an just logged quick. I haven't changed the file yet any. Just compared to a few in the repository and it matched perfect to a stage 2 except injectors were little bigger than stage 2. Going to take a guess and say they are Siemens 50$. But guessing these are just like any other. Pull the connector off and I can search the injector #.

My ve vs fuel trim chart that I use in scanner. I'll just use the same way and paste into ve table times half into chart?? For tuning the fuel that's way off.

So ive got the Furl trims way closer and its idling great, but on startup for about 3-6 seconds it still has to search to find idle going from 400-1500 rpm. then its perfect, what am i missing or doing wrong?

take the spaces out and go there. sorry to sound like a dick but it seems like you're way over your head for tuning an LSJ. You don't have any of the tables setup correctly to match the ECU axis, I can't tell if your logging AFR% error or VE% error.

Thats fair, yeah the tables are crossed on X and Y axis from my charts.. the AFR error chart is for my wideband i use and the VE charts are the ltft+stft math error. I was just getting the idling VE better. Started at 30% -35% and now at -5 to 5% just trying to get it to idle.. It would not before at all without giving it gas.

And its not being a dick if you help :P that's why i came here, if i knew what i was doing i wouldn't of joined this page for a car i don't own. Im not making any money and spent the 90$ on credits to unlock the car just to help my friend out, its very hard to drive the car and it was just going to hurt it driving running that lean. Plus I only have one leg now and havent drove a 5 speed in 3 years.. But i might try with this car haha

Thanks for all the help tho guys
