Back in an Ecotec

Just picked up this 2014 ATS over the weekend. AWD 2.0 Turbo w/ 32k miles. Its a Crimson Sport Edition, which they supposedly only made during the spring of 2014. The package includes the 18" wheels, front lip, side skirts, rear spoiler, and the suede steering wheel/shift boot. So far I am really impressed with the car.

No major plans for the time being. Just enjoy it as is.

Correct. Didn't trade anything in. Hoping to sell the LeSarbe privately and make some more off of it. The Luv will get some attention here shortly once the weather turns. Once it's up and running, we will have 3 Ecotec vehicles lol.

It's an auto. My wife's only requirements were AWD, auto, and 4 doors. This satisfied both our wants/needs.

Looks nice, I give it 3months before you start itching to mod.

Beautiful! That's what I would drive if I could let loose the money. Except maybe with a efr installed....

The Colorado and Luv are both giving me hassles. I'd have to get them both squared away before this turns into a project. And I don't see that happening in the foreseeable future. Although I'll probably sneak drop springs on it when it needs tires next spring.

They are surprising affordable compared to the original sticker. Especially after 3 years.

I've looked at them, you are right about them not holding their value.

I was pleasantly surprised at how clean it is. Whoever leased it took car of it. I looked at a couple that had all 4 wheels curbed and the sill plates were all scuffed to hell.

The only thing that bothers me about this car, is the vinyl on the B-pillars were all scratched some how. I've already got that on order though.

I'm like 75% sure this car is an old customer of mine from when I was manager at my old job(carwash chain). She was elderly prob 75ish and took very good care of the car.

Eff me lol. She didn't have a cat did she?

I periodically get a waft similar to car urine. Its not all the time, and I haven't driven the car enough to narrow down the conditions that cause it to arise.

Longer hair? If so, this was definitely her car lol.

I think I've narrowed it down to the cabin air filter. New one is on its way.

A cabin air filter did wonders for the Tiguan when we bought it. PO had a little dog that was obviously allowed everywhere in that car. There was hair on the driver's window trim felt stuff, so it obviously rode in her lap on drives. I think it still had some hair in hidden places when I sold it.
