Coupe vs sedan

Hey all. I'm looking to get a cobalt. I've been looking into getting a sedan cause the cobalt coupe doors are heavy and four door is easier to get into, plus cheaper insurance. With that being said, I think the coupes look better by far. I'm torn between looks vs practicality. Any advice?

If you're driving only you, and maybe somebody else. Get a coupe. If you have family, get a sedan.

Honestly the insurance shouldn't be that much of a difference, only just supercharged or turbocharged would bump up cost.

I agree with ProfDNS. I think the coupe looks better. Functionality only comes into play if you need those back seats. I think the back seats are horribly uncomfortable and never really sentence anyone to sitting back there so coupe works fine for me.

That being said people seem to get a kick out of the Cobalt Sedans for some reason. I don't like the looks of them.

I like both but now that i have a kid the sedan is more practical. Also now that I've owned both I really like the look of the sedan more than the coupe but thats just preference. They both perform the same so it really comes down to what you like (looks) and what needs you have for the car.

I like the sleeper look of the sedan, but the coupe looks more aggressive. And yes insurance does cost more for 2 door vs 4. It's all about risk and coupe drivers are crazier.

It's insignificantly different with the Cobalt, it's based on power levels now more than the number of doors like the old days, when a coupe meant sports car and power and the sedan was a family car with less power.

I own a coupe and sedan currently. Sedan if its your daily and coupe if its a weekend/fun car.

I see no difference in insurance between the two.

As a resident centered in the Bible Belt, I can tell you without a doubt, I don't need more Jesus in my life.
