Cylinder bore

doing a rebuild an have a bit of vertical scoring my question is if homing won't take care of it can I have the sleeves bored to 86.5 mm ? I can barely feel the scoring with my nail I want to just hone them and slap in some drop in pistons from zzp . What do u guys think ?

I'm about to do same thing but I don't want to bore out that much I just want to clean up some vertical scratches and replace one piston

Zzp says .5mm overbore is a no-no. Others say it is okay. Blocks can be had pretty cheap.

Also with a honing tool getting .5mm off wall is possible but boring is better to achieve this the honing tool is more just getting glaze and crosshatching for new rings to set better

Depends on if youre using a drill or an actual honing machine.
