2006 lsj bypass valve helppp!!

I got a 2006 cobalt ss lsj the other day, car runs and drives fine has lots of power, boost gauge works butt,,, I do not hear any whining noises, this is my first “cobalt/ supercharger” one of the hoses seemed a bit lose on the nipple going to the solenoid I believe so I replaced it but still nothing, there is a muffler delete and an intake on the car, “how I got it “, seemed to work how it should but just no whining noise at all was wondering if anyone has any information on what could be my problem or some ideas to try to see if it’s garbage before ordering a new one from zzp,,, thanks!!!

well thats 11-13psi, what these cars make stock, so id say everything is just fine. that appears to be the factory air intake pipe painted blue, and id take a wild guess that its got an unmodified air box. its not much of a surprise you dont hear much whining, the factory air box is designed to quieten the intake noise.

Oh I didn’t know it was the stock one haha I’ll have to look at it this weekend, I hear no noise at all so if it’s the stock one I may delete the box and get a cone till I get to order an aftermarket intake!! Any way to text the bypass to make sure it’s working fine by any chance

add a muffler, the exhaust is def louder than any whine would be on a stock pulley

It sounds like everything is working just fine at that boost level. Just wait and save up for a proper intake if you want to hear the whine. Stage kit with a smaller pulley will also make it louder since you'll be spinning the blower faster.
