just got word that my car is getting built this week!
an unusually great monday for me ! 
My dealer called me this morning to inform me that he's received word that my Cobalt SS S/C is scheduled for build this week!
he said that their message was " week of the 8th " so not a specific 'day' for some reason but still better than just 'waiting' with no idea of when.
And we should expect it to arrive here in town 'within a month' (obviously somewhat uncertain etc.).
He'll call me when he hears more, and gets invoice etc.
but sure was a good start to my week
just thought I'd share.

Waiting for the same call but I suspect I won't get it for at least a month

yeah LSD (limited Slip Differential) & Recaro seats are the "G85 Performance package"
IMO better than the LSD drug stay drug free! but make sure your car has LSD !

I 'placed' my order with my dealer June 8th
but knowing they would not build any 2006 at all until the start of July I knew I had some waiting ahead of me. I placed it way back then to make sure that it had best chances of getting in line to be made as soon as possible, considering I live in the least populated state means 'low priority' to GM in the nation-wide picture.
placing an order 'now' .. I would expect most places you could get it within like maybe 6-8 weeks (assuming no issues with parts like they had with 2005 coupes)... just keep nagging your dealer

there a BLAST (of course only when **** doesn't break left and right)
I didn't think any of those had even lived this long. 
I always get so emotion when somebody gets there SS S/C

Woo Hoo!! Build date confirmed this week by dealer!!
Well guys, looks like our cars are coming off the same run this week!!! My dealer just confirmed and I quote: "Your car is being built as we speak". Man, I can't wait. I just might be the first SS/SC in Canada with LSD/Recaro's!!! Man, I'm excited!!!
