It's really whatever you like. In my case, for example if you belong to an organization alot of them have custom plates. Im in the PA Army National Guard.. so I went and got the national guard plate.

I had custom plates for over two years and in some cases it was a pain in the ass... In others, like at shows, it was fun.
On my 98 Cavalier i had "GOT OHV" because it was the 2200 SFI/OHV engine.

On my Cobalt, I am thinking about "GOT DOHC" or "VTECTHIS". New York State lets you look up and buy your plates online which saves me the trouble of waiting for it to come back.

None of the choices in the poll moved me...

I second that, however I did see a PA Motorcycle plate in the Highland Park area that was "MMM69" which I believe was standard-issue from the state......you would think as uptight as states are about obscene plates they would be a little more observant with their sequential plates.....had the guy applied for that as his plate they would have rejected it without thinking twice.

a couple of months ago, some yayhoos over in Vermont (i am 5 minutes from them), raised a super large stink over the tag the state had issued them for their stinking volvo. It was DYE 911... They made the state take it back. It actually made the news.

Yea, I want to get a personal plate, cuz of my military exemption. Normally, my car would cost obout $5oo/yr to register, but I only have to pay $35 So I figure I can afford an extra $25/yr for personal plates.

My plates are in the mail...SS Schgd.

I'm not very thoughtfull with plates though, good luck...

On College humor there is a Illinois Hummer with the Word Hummer engraved in the rear bumper in Gold (black Bumper) and above it sits the license plate which reads "GIVE ME A"

the only problem with vanity plates is that they are much easier to remember when you are blowing past the cops
