Help me decide on wheels

Since it doesn't look like any struts are going to be out anytime soon ( ) I think I am going to use the money I had saved on some wheels but I'm stuck on a decision.

the wheels are:

Rota Grid in black w/ polished lip

or

Rota Slipstream in black w/ polished lip

and they will be going on this car

I like both of them but I'm not sure which one would be best to fit my style of car. I like the Slipstream because they are low key and don't look too rice boyish. But then I like the Grids but not sure how they would look on an ION sedan. I can get the Slipstream for $559 shipped and the Grids for $650 shipped in 17x7.5. So help me out!

Rims

I hate to be the ******* of this post (as there always is) but i think the black with the polished lips is starting to be too common. When i bought my silver SS that was my plan like 6 months out. when i finally got the car i saw that style everywhere. it sucked because i really love the look. it will look great on your car. I am starting to get into white rims again but they are impossible to keep looking clean. but i would choose the 6 spoke rims they look a little more like racing rims then that particular 5 point. jeez i just read my own post and even i hate me.....

I had silver wheels on my last car so this is still something different for me.

I know the Grids look more like racing wheels then the Slipstream which is why I was questioning NOT getting them. But I guess if people think they will look alright on my sedan then I'll have to really consider them.

The slipstreams look more like racing, go with a lighter color of the slipstreams if your car's color is light blue and darker if your car is darker. sorry cant tell if your car is like arrival blue or some other lighter blue color. Both wheels arnt that stylin though.

^^^i agree with them but if i had to choose between those 2. I picked the rota grid the steel gray color. I don't know the gun metal w/the lip just doesn't appeal to me with the color of you car. If you go with the other rims I would stick with silver, white (kinda iffy i'd have to see a chop), maybe a black (a big maybe cause it would look like steelies the flat gun metal might look alright. I just don't like the polish lip rims with your car. Maybe if you had some chops we could get a better idea. I'm pretty good visualizing but sometime i like to be sure. If i could do the chops i would but i don't have the program. Good luck with choosing

You can definatley find better wheels than those and some times for cheaper. I might go with a nice set of blings with the color of you car.

well any other suggestions? I picked Rotas because I like the way they look and they are fairly light...sure I can get cheaper wheels but I don't want any 25lbs $99 wheels.

oh and heres some 5 min. chops for you Joen...I like them personally.

I don't konw if you aready got your wheels but I'm gonna go back on what i said I'd go with the Rota Slipstream.

When i saw the first chop you did i thought it had ensured my decision but then that second chop you did made me got back. But i'm just not a fan of the gun metal/black rims with the polished lip...sorry thats one thing i'm sure of.

I love black wheels w/ polished lip. When I had my old car I was going to go with them a couple years back but decided to stick with silver because it just wasn't the right color. However I think the green will go perfect with them.

I stuck with my original choice and got the Slipstream. I'm too much of a fan of 5 spoke wheels to choose anything else.

I ordered them about 5 days ago...

17x7.5 Rota Slipstream in black w/ polished lip and 225/45/17 General Exclaim UHP tires. Should be here any day now

Not that I am biased or anything, but check out the "Drag Extreme Alloys" line of wheels.

Some pics of the Rotas on my car...I'm happy with my decision. Although no more whoring until I get this 4x4 lowered. I was going to hold off on the Sprints until struts came out but now I don't think I can wait.
