so a bud of mine has asked me to help (well basically do it...) him replace his starter on his 1992 buick regal.

just curious if anyone knows by chance on where the location of this is? he doesn't know if he has the 3.1 or the 3.8 so an idea for both would be appreciated. just would like an idea of where it's located so i don't have to spend time looking for it in this cold as **** we are living in.

 

its bolted to the engine. On newer 3.1L its in the front of the car (right behind the bumper) cant tell ya on the 3.8, probably same location.
