Good Shop for Clutch Install in DFW Metro

I'm about ready to need a clutch for my car and I was thinking of driving way up North to ZZP to have it done, but I figured I would try in here to see if anyone knows of reputable speed/performance shops around here that could install a clutch for me? I work in downtown Dallas and live in Oklahoma so anywhere along those lines would be OK for me. Any recommendations?

I dont know of a shop but all of the DFWGMElite members that own cobalts have done clutch jobs.

Ive done several swaps on my balt,

Vaughn (Japeatr) does great work on them,

Brandon (kissmy05ss) is currently doing a clutch job on his balt and a clutch on his fathers HHR,

If you have to have a shop do it, any of them should be able to do it, if you want to save some money and have one of us do it, just let me know and I can get a hold of which ever person you want to do it and get you a price quote,

are you doing a stock clutch or are you upgrading? I see that you have trifecta in your list of mods so plz plz plz tell me you are upgrading

lol yes I am going to be upgrading shortly due to my stocker slipping pretty good. The offer is much appreciated and I am not against doing it with some knowledgeable help. I was going to take it to a shop because I don't know how to do it.

On top of my current mods I will also have some money burning a hole in my wallet later on this year and would love to pick up one of these kick ass upgrades too.

I was thinking Spec but I read that they had issues with Cobalts so I need to do some more research on which one to get.

You say you have done several for yourself? What did you do and why???

What kind of cost am I looking at for a shop or one of you guys to do it (rough estimate off the top of your head is cool...)

Thanks alot for the help

Shops tend to charge between 500-1000 depending,

average going rate for one of us to do it is 300-400 depending,

I have ran a couple of different clutches, im currently on my 3rd trans also, my car has been driven hard and for a lot of miles.

Im currently using the ACT clutch with street disc but Im about to swap over to a 6 puck setup.

definitely take your time and do some research, I suggest finding various people with different clutches and taking a ride in the vehicle or actually driving it if you can, it will really give a feel of what to expect and will help your decision drastically.
