oh well i will make a copy of it and send it to progressive and of course try and they say what happened to the original i will make up something. I doubt progressive will even care as i dont and never have even talked to anyone and pay my bill online up front for the year. I kind of wish i would of just did the 3 months with no ticket thing over dd.

Last time I took defensive driving, I received the original and 2 copies from defensivedriving.com. One says it is for court, another says insurance copy, and the other says personal copy. However, that was a yr ago. Also, I'm not sure where all my lawyer covers, but I know he covers fort worth. He has a huge reputation with most courts, and I even used him in fort worth once for 6 tickets I got at once, and all of them got dropped, no fees. If anyone wants his info, PM me and you can call him to see if he can help ya out with a ticket!

That hardly ever works.

I wish I would have known about the deferral beforehand, it doesn't mention it anywhere on the Texas DoT sites. Any idea what the fee is?

you still have to pay court costs i know that...and i think the fee can change ,...for instance...i got a deferral in hutto and they gave me 90 days....got one in round rock they gave me 6 months! and double the fee!

It worked for me...cop never showed, so I got the case dismissed and never had to pay court costs. As far as deferral goes, Scott (section8) is right. It's essentially probation for a period of time determined by the judge. So, if you catch a judge in the wrong mood, or they see that you've played the system before, they will probably give a longer period than usual (maximum probation is 6 months though).

Well i passed my defensive driving course and received my certificate for both the court and my car insurance so i will be submitting it to them too for a discount. My ticket got dismissed finally. Boy that defensive driving took me awhile because i would do it and watch tv, drink some beer, etc and i still passed with a 95%.

He ask me why i was playing with those bikes and i was like i wasnt because there twice as fast as me. Hes like i know. So i asked why didnt you pull them over and he said he tried but they got away so then he went after me instead. What the ****. Well this is my only ticket while being in texas for 4 years so im not sure what to do. I have a court number to call for fines and info. So do i want to plead no contest and take the drivers education course. I definetly dont want to go to court as im sure he will show and lie and then i would lose anyways.

So really what are my options for this??????????
Plead not guilty. The prosecutor will most likely reduce the ticket to parking ticket(s) and drivers ed school. Nothing major, and DEF better than a moving violation. No points, no increase in insurance, etc.

did you not read this post. I signed up for defensive driving and paid the courts $108 but my ticket will be dismissed after i complete the defensive driving and take my certification to court in which i did. Now im going to get a discount on my insurance too.
