rear passenger side suspension making noise after eibachs, tried to fix, no luck!
Hey i was wondering if anyone could give me a hand on my suspension and help me fix my clunking sound. I have tried everythign on the passenger rear and still no luck. Jim helped me install the springs and a few weeks ago looked at them and couldnt find anything wrong. I thought maybe that the lower bolt was loose but no luck. I have also used threadlock on the two bolts to make sure there tight. My shock is fine as i had Jim test it for me. Can anyone take a look at it for me to see if you can find out why its making this noise. The noise is very loud and its bad over bumps. I am almost at the point of pulling the springs off and goign back to stock if i cant figure out the problem. I thought about looking up a suspension shop but im guessing they will charge me to much money. Its weird because the drivers side rear was installed the same and it makes no noise at all.
Please if someone could help me out on this i would really appreciate it!

anyway we could meet up soon. I would really appreciate it if you could help me out on this one. I have been driving now on it for a few weeks and im just so sick of the rattling. I have had my tire off on that side now more than 3 times trying to figure out the problem.
thanks

You're hitting the bump stop or if you changed your exhaust its the pipe hitting the body or axle. Even with my prokit i hot the bumpstops autocrossing and it soulds likea thump when they hit.

Please take your cap locks off as we can all read what your saying. its not a bump stop noise. My noise is even when driving, and not just stopping. I have stock exahust so i doubt it thats. Yeah autocrossing is different than daily driving like i do. I just daily drive to work and it makes noise all the way there even on flat surfaces but more over bumps or grooves in road.

SO you say the shock is fine, and you have a stock exhaust.
Alright so what changed, the springs.
Posibilities and/or a combination of all 3
1. They are moving around the alignment pin.
2. You're hitting the bumpstops
3. The springs are compressing and making noise on the coils or coil perches.
I'd go with 3, did you leave in the rubber coil isolators?
If you took those out then all the noise form the spring is going directly into the body.

i had a similar problem with ca #1 springs. the main problem was that they were of very shitty quality. looked good lowered but the ride was horrible. double check your bolts again. the shock bolt up top in particular

i checked the bolts again last night and i used my compressor at 150 psi and i couldnt turn them anymore. Last week i did the same but i put threadlock on them and both the top and bottom. The top bolt is solid as so bottom bolt. So your saying EIBACH prokit are crappy springs? T
It wasn't caps I hit the size button. Usually I make short posts and they go overlooked.

i did leave the rubber coil isolators on for each side.

well you can hear the raddling just by driving but its louder over bumps. My car is a 2007 with only 9k miles on it so how could i have a broken mount. It never made any noise before installing my springs and rims. How do i check if the mount is broken? By looking at the spring and shock and all the bolts i dont see nothing thats broke.

Well Jap fixed my car and checked it out yesterday for $20. I found out it was a loose strut top bolt. Its funny thats the only bolt i didnt check. The back turned out okay after i used thread lock on it. The more and more i started listening to it, it sounded like it was coming from the right front tire and indeed it was. He check all my wheel shaft play and tightened most of the bolts and torqued all my wheel lugs. It was nice just sitting there and bullshitting with you.
Thanks for all your help and you will see me soon for header and exhaust install hopefully.
Props up for you.
