What can you tell me about Lubbock, TX!
Hey, I have some new career oppertunites in the Wind Indusry in and around Lubbock, I'm researching the area and I just want to know what its like from the people that live around there!

i havent lived there per se...i passed through alot,..not sure about the crime rate...when i was around that area it was cold and that was like jan-apr. I was driving between clovis nm and abilene....alot

jo jo, that steak contest is in Amarillo :facepalm: Lubbock is mostly dry and desert climate. It's also mostly an oil town, so get used to the smell. It's home to Texas Tech, which is one of the larger sports oriented universities (behind University of Texas-Austin, and Texas A&M). Can't speak about crime, car scene, or any other social highlights. Just be glad it's not Waco...too many people there drink the crazy koo-layed....
