just to make sure that everything is taken care of. I dont want to be short handed or settle just because. I dont know we have never been in this type of situation before where there was injuries where we need care.

to be honest i feel lost with this whole thing...

i've been a couple of accidents w/ injuries and their insurance covered my car and my medical. i can see you looking for a lawyer if their insurance doesn't cover much though. in that case, you will have to take the owners to small claims court or something. good luck with everything. this is why i have $100,000/$300,000 on my insurance, just in case.

If no one was seriously hurt (like no surgery required, etc), then insurance shouldn't have an issue covering all costs, assuming the at-fault party had more than the state minimum. State min is a joke, and in most cases won't even cover the cost of a replacement car. Find out their limits and your expected costs, and if their coverage appears to be short, then go lawyer hunting.

If you do need a lawyer, I suggest contacting Goldberg and Osborne. Yes, their commercials are dumb, but I have a co-worker that will swear by them, and they are an A+ with the BBB.

Good luck!

good luck, yeah i agree that if any sueing need be done it is against whatever insurance company tries to short hand you. When i was 8 i think my parent and i were in a fatal car crash (the 18 year old female at fault passed away) we had to sue our insurance company to receive the full amount that we were due.

Whatever you do, don't sign any release forms. They will try to give you an "opening offer" more or less, and say, hey, since no once was injured, how about we give you $20 for you to sign this form saying you won't sue. Don't do it until everything is right with the health/money, because some injuries can only show over time (like a couple months).

o yea actually we have avoided the insurance companies. We keep telling them we are too injured to handle the phone call now. Call back when we feel better. LOL

We did contact a lawyer. Did lots of research on the web and there was a bunch of comments about how this lawyer bailed him out of their 2nd extreme DUI and DUI that and DUI this... I did not like the fact that they kept getting them free of something I felt was wrong. Did find one that had some comments were not too bad. Basically they said they helped when needed and stuff.

BTW just found out that my wife has 3 broken bones and a possible 4th in the FOOT! damn who would have known all that black, blue, yellow was bad. LOL.

Our insurance is about to pay off the 09 beetle so we are ok there. Im sure it will be a month or more before the wife can drive again. all i can think about is MONEY! we will save soo much then again the wife is not getting paid... damn it had to think about that. ARGGGGG

ill keep yall posted! thanks for the info!
