2 Seater long travel Sandrail Chassis needed
Im starting to really debate to drop my old LSJ into a 2 seater sandrail
Ive been looking for a chassis but no realy luck for what I have been searching for.
Can you help..
Im still debating on either a straight motor drop in. or build it and TVS is.
Thing will be a monster if I go that way....

I had the same problem a few years ago. I had a R1 motor, 4 25" mudder/wheels, various steering components.... I looked for a chassis for quite a while until finally I just fabricated my own. Steel was pretty cheap back then too. Used 2" box tube steel for the chassis itself (pretty strong stuff), then used 1.75" circle tube for the cage. I had to go to a muffler shop to make the bends and go to a metal fab shop for them to cut notches at the ends for me. All costing about $300 total. all welds with a rod welder (old as ****, but got the job done).... The entire rear end of the R6 was used including tranny, chain, and sprocket. suspension along with the brakes where pulled from a older VW rail buggy. 94' Barretta seat
, custom pedals, steering linkage and all such came from same rail buggy...... enclosed cab with 3/8" sheet metal....... door was on with house hold door hinges
....engine was partially enclosed with 3/8" sheet metal..... the electronics from the bike (speedo, ignition, lights) was used except the headlights were autozone fogs... used the bikes fuel tank aswell......it wasn't a looker but it was fun as ****. Ended up burning the motor up 5 months later.... wish i had pics but it was from 4 or 5 years ago
