Monthly Motorgen Meet and Cruise!

This month we're taking a little bit longer cruise up through San Gabriel Canyon through part of the Angeles National Forest. Here is the entire route if anyone wants to see!

We will be meeting at the parking lot directly across the street from Nick's Burger at 3:30p.m. We are planning to leave for the cruise promptly at 4:00p.m. The cruise should take roughly 2 hours total. We will make one stop to collect everyone after we go through the canyon and I'll update where that will be in a day or two.

The last meet was a blast with about 50 cars and a mix of domestic, euro, and import. Here is some video from our last cruise.

be careful in azuza canyon sean. The cops are out bad and total dicks. We were told to get the **** off his mountain

Azusa Canyons is a terrible spot now.

 

I appreciate the warnings guy. Do you know any ways through that aren't so police heavy? We aren't planning to run it at a million miles an hour anyway - our cruises are usually just mellow. You do have me kind of worried though, LOL.

I think we took the east fork and that's where we got caught.

The main road was closed off so we had to take the east fork road.

 

I am more than willing to change the route. Everyone has been very cool about warning me. Do you guys have any other local runs you'd recommend?

The cop that pulled me over said they are going to start cracking down on "racers" and if you want to drive through the mountain you need to buy a $5 mountain pass. Where you buy this pass I don't know.

No rissa he was up there because the state is broke and they r cracking down on everything and writing tickets for stupid **** to get money. I am gonne be honest with u sean anywhere u go u r prolly gonna run into the cop problem. They want money plain and simple. Now like gxp said the U can get it from any forrest service station or i believe online to. It isn't illegal foir u to cruise the canyon without it but if u guys stop to take pics or just meet up mif u r on the side of the road stopped u need an adventure pass and he can tech. write u a ticket for not having one

 

From what I gathered waiting for him to talk to us, the honda and acura were together and were pulled over by the cop. One received a ticket for tint, crossing a double yellow and something else severe. The acura with his hood popped got a "fix it" ticket for illegal modifications and had to clear it with a state ref. The rest of them were together but weren't pulled over, they were just hanging out.

 

We're going to run the original route this weekend I think to check the cop situation. We will report back soon, LOL. Thanks again for the warning and all the route ideas everyone

Monday bump

 

Mid-week bump! For anyone wondering we're not going through the canyon at super fast speeds or anything - it actually is just a cruise

Here is the 1st part of the video, we should have the rest up in a day or two. The roads were pretty tight and it was a really fun drive. The AWD guys were definitely in their element.

It was a great cruise, we had:

-5 WRX's and STi's
-2 IS300's
-2 G35's
-A Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T Track (really nice car, I'm impressed)
-4 LS2 GTO's
-A beautiful 240sx with a supra motor swap
-A stage 2 SRT4
-A LS3 Vette
-A heads/cam LS1 82 Vette
-3 Termi Cobras
-2 Mach 1 Mustangs
-A clean White GT w/black rims
-A 73 Camaro with a built motor and nitrous
-A modified out Taurus SHO

All told we had 26 cars for the cruise. It was good times
