Auto Cub Dragway - Fontana 4-26-2008

So I was up at the Auto Club Dragway on Saturday, didn't take the Cobalt, but took my 72 Pontiac Ventura. I ran twice, 1st run, 14.141 @ 94.94 mph, 2nd run 14.102 @ 94.96 mph. I wanted to do a run as is, then go back with a wild cam, port & polished heads. This car is full interior, no weight stripped.

I saw some other Cobalts out there, there was a Grey SS/SC and a White SS. The grey one gave a red EVO a run for his Money.

Just wanted to share!!

I got there at 5:30am, ended up as car #253, group #3. 1st run at 11:30, 2nd run at 1:30. A beetle blew the motor, it took the track crew about an hour to clean. at about 3 or so, another guy blew a motor, got oil all over the track. At this point, it was pretty much useless to stick around.

I'm going to to take my Cobalt next time the street legals are open again. June I believe is the month.

Yes I agree. They try to be so picky at the tech inspections, they forgot to tech my car. I didn't even have to pop open the hood. The bit#h at the tech inspection was so pissed that I drove up with my car still on the trailer, she told me to park against the fence. I walked to another tech guy, he signed it off without even looking, and went to go get my number!!

LACR, we miss you!!!

Hey Eric!
Thats a good time for a non SC cobalt! Was that the red evo? Are you going back on the next street legal? I'm taking the Cobalt up there next! I got a pair of drag radials awaiting to hit the track on spray!!
